A Campus Church Built on Grace
MMUSDA is the Seventh-day Adventist Church on the Multimedia University of Kenya campus — a sanctuary for students, faculty and the surrounding community in Nairobi.
We are a family-based church, meaning every member belongs to one of seven close-knit families — Humble, Aroma of Christ, Heralds of the Morning, Pilgrims, Royals, Emeralds and Eagles — each led by a Family Dad and Family Mum who care for members personally.
We believe in a God who meets you exactly where you are — in your campus life, in your studies, in your struggles and in your joys.

Here is what a Sabbath at MMUSDA looks like
Friday Vespers
We welcome the Sabbath together with song, prayer and a short devotional.
Sabbath School
We study God's Word together in small groups. Open questions, honest discussion.
Divine Worship
Our main service — uplifting music, a powerful sermon and genuine worship.
Sabbath Lunch
We eat together. A meal is prepared for the whole church community. Come hungry.
Evening Vespers
A gentle, prayerful close to the Sabbath. We reflect and sing together.
Come as you are. Dress comfortably. You do not need to know anything to belong here.
Every member belongs to a family
At MMUSDA, you are never just a face in the crowd. You belong to a close-knit family of students who meet weekly, eat together, pray together and do life together. When you join, you are assigned a family — and a Family Dad and Mum who will personally look out for you.

Questions we hear a lot
Do I have to be Adventist to attend?
Not at all. Everyone is welcome — regardless of your faith background, denomination or where you are in your spiritual journey. Come as you are.
What should I wear?
Come dressed comfortably and respectfully. Most members dress smart-casual for Sabbath School and slightly more formally for the Divine Service. There is no dress code enforced.
What is a family and do I have to join one?
Our church is organised into seven small families of students who meet weekly for fellowship, Bible study, food and friendship. Joining a family is the best way to feel at home quickly. It is not compulsory but we strongly encourage it.
I already know which family I want to join. Can I request it?
Yes — mention it in the 'Anything you would like us to know' field in the registration form. We will do our best to honour your request where possible, subject to family balance.
When do family meetings happen?
Most families meet every Thursday at 4:00 PM. The Eagles family meets every Tuesday at 4:00 PM. You can indicate your preferred day in the registration form.
Is the Sabbath lunch free?
The Sabbath lunch is a community effort — members contribute a small weekly amount collected by their family heads. Once you join a family, your Family Dad or Mum will let you know how it works.
I am not a student at MMU. Can I still join?
Absolutely. MMUSDA is open to students, faculty, staff and community members. Select 'Community Member' in the registration form.
