Family Life Department
Strengthening homes
The Family Life Ministry is the heartbeat of the MMU SDA Church community. We believe that the family is the basic functional unit of the church, and our mission is to nurture, strengthen and grow every member through belonging. The church is organised into seven families — Humble, Aroma of Christ, Heralds of the Morning, Pilgrims, Royals, Emeralds and Eagles — each led by a Family Dad and Family Mum. Through weekly family meetings, personal member care, fellowship, and intentional follow-up, we ensure that no student walks the campus journey alone. Whether you are a first-year student finding your feet or a continuing student growing in faith, your family is here for you.

Theirs is a ministry of quiet, faithful service — the hands and feet of this church.

Voices lifted in worship
The Music Ministry of MMU SDA Church exists for one purpose — to glorify God through the gift of music. Our choirs, praise teams, instrumentalists and song leaders lead the congregation into authentic, spirit-filled worship every Sabbath and at all church programmes. We believe that music is a powerful spiritual language that touches hearts, stirs faith and ushers in the presence of God. Whether you sing, play an instrument or simply love to worship, there is a place for you in this ministry. Come and add your voice to ours.

Library/Education Department
Knowledge for eternity
The Education Ministry reflects the Adventist conviction that education is a sacred calling — one that integrates faith, character and knowledge. At MMU SDA Church, we support our student members academically and spiritually, believing that God is glorified when His children pursue excellence in their studies. We organise study support initiatives, academic encouragement programmes and resources that help students balance academic demands with a vibrant spiritual life. We believe that the pursuit of knowledge and the pursuit of God are not in conflict — they belong together.

The voice of the church
The Public Address Ministry ensures that the voice of MMU SDA Church is heard clearly — literally and figuratively. Our team manages all sound systems, audio-visual equipment and technical operations for every church service and programme. Behind every powerful sermon, every moving worship session and every well-run event is a dedicated PA team working faithfully in the background. They may not always be seen, but their contribution makes everything else possible.

Sabbath School Department
The heart of Bible study
Sabbath School is the heartbeat of our weekly worship experience at MMU SDA Church. Every Sabbath morning, we gather to study God's Word together through the quarterly lesson guides, engage in meaningful discussion and prepare our hearts for the Divine Service. Sabbath School has four great purposes: the study of Scripture, fellowship with one another, community outreach and a focus on world mission. It is the classroom of the church — a place where every question is welcome and every seeker will find something that draws them closer to God.

Telling our story
The Communication Department is the voice and the face of MMU SDA Church to the world. We manage the church's digital presence, social media platforms, announcements, photography, videography and all internal and external communications — including this website. Our mission is to tell the story of what God is doing in this community, to keep members informed and to extend the reach of this church beyond the walls of the campus. If you want to stay connected and up to date, the Communication Department is your link to everything happening at MMU SDA Church.

Chaplaincy Department
Ministry of presence
The Chaplaincy Ministry exists to provide pastoral care, spiritual guidance and emotional support to every member of the MMU SDA Church community. On a university campus, life can be demanding — academically, socially and spiritually — and our chaplains are here to walk with students through every season. We offer a safe, confidential space for counselling, prayer and spiritual direction. We also work closely with the university to ensure the spiritual wellbeing of students, staff and faculty. Whatever you are going through, you do not have to face it alone. Our door is always open.

Personal Ministry Department (PM)
Equipped to share
The Personal Ministries department exists to equip every member of the MMU SDA Church to be an active, effective witness for Jesus Christ. We believe that soul-winning is not the responsibility of the pastor alone — every member is a minister. We train members in Bible studies, personal evangelism, community outreach and small group ministry. We also coordinate campus evangelism initiatives that take the gospel to every corner of Multimedia University. Through Personal Ministries, you discover that your story and your faith can change someone else's life.

Prayer Department
The power behind everything
The Prayer Ministry is the spiritual engine of the MMU SDA Church. We believe that nothing of lasting value is built without prayer, and our ministry is committed to cultivating a deep, consistent culture of prayer across the entire church community. We organise prayer sessions, prayer walks, weeks of prayer and intercessory prayer chains that cover our members, our university and our nation. We invite every member to be part of a praying church — because when God's people pray, things change.

The Elders Council provides spiritual oversight, leadership and pastoral care for the MMU SDA Church. Our elders work alongside the pastor to shepherd the congregation, lead in worship, preach the Word, administer the ordinances of the church and provide spiritual guidance to members and departments. They are the guardians of sound doctrine and the standard-bearers of godly character in this community. The Elders Council is committed to leading this church with wisdom, humility and the love of Christ.

Stewardship Department
Faithful managers
The Stewardship Ministry exists to help every member of MMU SDA Church understand and live out the biblical principle that everything we have belongs to God. We are not owners — we are managers of God's resources: our time, our talents, our finances and our opportunities. Through financial education, tithe and offering encouragement and lifestyle discipleship, the Stewardship Ministry helps members align their whole lives with God's purposes. True stewardship is not just about giving money — it is about living a life that says, "Lord, everything I have is Yours."

Health Department
Whole person wellness
The Health Ministry is rooted in the Adventist belief that our bodies are temples of the Holy Spirit and that true health encompasses the whole person — body, mind and spirit. We promote the eight natural remedies: nutrition, exercise, water, sunlight, temperance, fresh air, rest and trust in God. On campus, we run health awareness programmes, health screenings, wellness workshops and lifestyle education initiatives tailored to the needs of university students. We are committed to helping every member at MMU live a full, healthy and balanced life.

Treasury Department
Faithful stewardship of funds
The Treasury Department is the faithful steward of the financial resources entrusted to the MMU SDA Church. We oversee the collection, recording and management of tithes, offerings and all church funds in a manner that is transparent, accountable and God-honouring. We work closely with all departments to ensure that the work of this ministry is well-resourced and that every member can give with confidence, knowing their contributions are handled with integrity. "Bring the whole tithe into the storehouse." — Malachi 3:10

Keeping the records
The Clerk's Department is the official record keeper of the MMU SDA Church. We maintain accurate and up-to-date records of church membership, baptisms, transfers, board minutes and all official church proceedings. We work quietly behind the scenes to ensure that the administration of this church runs smoothly, and that every member is properly documented and accounted for. The work of the clerk is the foundation of an organised and well-governed church.

Voice Of Prophecy (VOP) Department
Hope for today, tomorrow
The Voice of Prophecy Ministry is our evangelism and broadcast outreach arm. Rooted in the Adventist tradition of media ministry, we use the spoken and written word to share the gospel of Jesus Christ with the MMU campus and beyond. We conduct Bible correspondence programmes, public evangelism series and outreach initiatives that invite people to encounter Jesus and understand the prophetic message of Scripture. If you want to know what the Bible says about the times we are living in, the Voice of Prophecy is where you begin.
